Performance Projects
We create large scale, site responsive promenade performances based around an open access choir and our original choral compositions. Anyone can join our choir to take part in these special events. No previous experience is required and you don't need to read music as we teach the songs by ear.

From the Beginning
Each project begins with an idea, a theme or a location as inspiration for our creative journey, and we create our choir afresh each time. Many of our singers take part on a regular basis and each project includes people joining us for the first time. Our choir is over one hundred strong.
We are based in Norwich, which is home to our core choir, and we also have a strong contingent in Brighton. Most of our projects and performances have taken place in Norfolk, but we have also performed in Suffolk and Sussex, and are open to working on projects elsewhere.
Rehearsals
A project usually lasts around 3 months from first rehearsal to performance. We begin with regular rehearsals to learn the songs, which we teach by ear. All the music is original, written specifically for the Voice Project Choir, and designed to be inspiring and uplifting, ambitious and rewarding to perform. We hold rehearsals in Norwich, Brighton and online.
Singers can access the members area of this website where we add information and supporting resources such as lyrics, sound files and recordings of online rehearsals.

Performance
Our productions are theatrical and use the performance spaces in a whole variety of ways with the choir animating different locations alongside professional singers and musicians.
As performance day approaches we hold final rehearsals and fine-tune the shows. The performance day is long as we do final rehearsals before the performances. We usually do two performances on the same day (in order to make the project finacially viable).
The Voice Project is an open access choir open to all and we can accommodate people of all abilities so that each choir member does as much as is comfortable for them to do.

Upcoming Projects
We don't have any performance projects right now but when do we will add details to the website.

Thank you

I really enjoyed singing with you all last night. It was quite different to my previous choir experiences and I loved it! I have signed up to the mailing list and hope to be part of your next project.
You have inspired me!

It feels such a privilege to be learning your beautiful songs with you both. You are such wonderful teachers! And create magical spaces for us to experience the wonder of being part of a far greater whole!! Thank you so much for all of this!!
