
Diving Dream
Join the choir to take part in Diving Dream at the Octagon Chapel, Norwich on 18 July 2026, as part of Norwich History Festival.
Rehearsals take place in Norwich and online. We are also running 2 free taster sessions where you can come along and find out more to decide if you'd like to join us for this project.
Diving Dream
In July 2025, as part of the first Norwich History Festival, Voice Project Co-directors Jon and Sian went to a talk, at the Octagon Chapel, by Philip Hoare, about his book William Blake and the Sea Monsters of Love. They sat in this building, which is just a year older than Blake himself, and heard stories of inspiring creativity, swimming and dreaming as the author shared his enthusiasm for the visionary Blake’s key place in the imagination of so many artists, writers, filmmakers, and thinkers. These themes have informed several of our previous projects and songs and we particularly wanted to revisit that middle-of-the-night space that we took the audience too in The Arms of Sleep, but this time without the sleeping ….
We are holding rehearsals for Diving Dream in Norwich and online, leading up to two performances on Saturday 18 July at the Octagon Chapel, Colegate, Norwich.
We are also running 2 taster sessions on Tuesday 2 June, 7.30-9.30pm and Saturday 6 June 11am-1pm, at the Friends Meeting House, Norwich. Please book so we know numbers attending.
