About The Changing Light
The title is taken from a poem by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Our favourite themes of light and dark, the cycle of life, different experiences of time, scale, space and perspective will all feature in the songs we learn and perform. We will light the space simply and welcome the audience into a space of sound and light as we move towards the shortest day.

We have been thinking about how we could create something slightly smaller-scale than our usual productions, somewhere between a workshop series and a full-scale project, that gives us the chance to come together and sing as the season changes, and also gives us the focus of working towards an inspiring performance.
The songs will be a mix of repertoire from past projects and new material, and we will start with a FREE taster on 6 October, in Norwich. There will be the option to attend online rehearsals, and we will run a session for Brighton singers - if the numbers work out.
The Changing Light will take place in the Friends Meeting House in Norwich, our home, taking advantage of the beautiful acoustics in the building. It will feature the choir and two of our wonderful vocal soloists, Jeremy Avis and Lisa Cassidy, and star instrumentalist Adrian Lever.
The rehearsal period is slightly shorter, than our larger projects and the resulting show will be about 50 minutes long.
