"So much more than just a choir. More like part of a whole glorious picture"
If you enjoy singing why not join our choir for our latest choral performance project The Distance Between Us? You can join us in Norwich, Brighton and online.
You don't need any previous experience, or be able to read music and there are no auditions. You can sign up for a free taster session before committing to the whole project.
Our choir is usually large - at least 100 people, so you'll be singing together with a group of like-minded people in a friendly and supportive environment. Current choir members describe the experience as inspiring, stimulating and uplifting.
We sing original contemporary choral music and rehearse regularly from October, leading to performances in January and February in Norwich and Brighton. In the final rehearsals, we are joined by a fantastic team of professional singers and instrumentalists, staging the songs to produce uplifting and original performances.
"A truly open-access choir with a very positive spirit. Each project is a new creative venture led by two very talented musicians who are also brilliant teachers."
The Distance Between Us will be a new live choral-theatre piece, devised by Voice Project co-directors Jon Baker and Sian Croose, that includes original music from our award-winning film The Distance Between Us. The film was made with the choir during lockdown when we were unable to meet in person. If you'd like to listen to the music and see the film you can do so below or on Youtube here.
We work on the basis that you need to be able to make 80% of rehearsals to take part, but everyone who signs up will also have access to our online rehearsals if you have to miss any sessions.
We also have a number of 'pay what you can afford' bursary places. If you need one of these please get in touch with us at info@voiceproject.co.uk
